Web3 and the Creator Ecosystem

The limitation of Web2

Web 2.0 creators have relied on centralized content platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok to distribute their content. These platforms generate significant revenue based on the value created by creators, but the creators themselves can only capture a small portion of that revenue. As the market dominance of these platforms strengthens, the bargaining power of creators weakens, and despite the increasing costs of platform usage, they have limited alternative distribution channels, leaving them with no choice but to continue using these platforms. Furthermore, centralized platforms depend heavily on advertising revenue and often accommodate the opinions of advertisers, leading to many cases where the creativity and freedom of content creators are restricted. To overcome these limitations, Web 3.0 has emerged.
